Hartland Elementary School, Damon Hall and the Hartland Library are still without power due to severe thunderstorms Wednesday night that knocked down trees and power lines.

Trees fell on the recreation fields and the school and the fence that surrounds the playground. The school’s dugout also washed away.

Martinsville Road was heavily damaged with downed trees and power lines and was closed last night. Green Mountain Power had to wait to respond until the trees were clear.

GMP is working in Hartland through the day. They will know this evening if power they will be able to restore power for the school.
