Taftsville Bridge Reopening and Community Picnic!
At long last, Taftsville’s historic covered bridge is open. Join the celebration! Learn some community history, enjoy a barbecue and music with community members, and be part of a group photograph that will be added to the history books.
When: Saturday, September 7, 2013, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
Where: At the Historic Taftsville Covered Bridge on route 4 (across from the Taftsville Country Store)

The Woodstock Historical Society is helping to organize the Historic Taftsville Bridge Reopening event, which will include:
Brief history of the bridge, presented by Allison Leibly
Ribbon cutting
Transportation parade across the bridge and through history with modes of transportation including everything from horses to state-of-the-art cars
Unveiling of the Taftsville Bridge historical marker
Free community barbecue picnic
Music by he Almost Legendary Thundering Muskrats and the Kerry Rose Band
Photographic Exhibit
Group photo (recording history in the making!)
Parking will be available along route 4 with signs showing designated parking areas with attendants.
