SHARON — Memorial Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Oct. 19 at the Day Funeral Home in Randolph for Gloria R. Denny, 78, who died Oct. 10 at Hanover Terrace in Hanover, N.H. Private burial will be at a later date in Homer, Il.
She was born Aug. 12, 1935 in Bethel, the daughter of Vincente and Eva (Fumagali) Cruz.
She was raised in Bethel, and moved to Champagne, Il, then Newport in 2001, and finally to Sharon in 2010.
Gloria served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, and was married to Billy Denny in Champagne in 1967, and had worked as an accountant for Ward and Martin Auto Dealership while in Illinois. She enjoyed playing cards, doing puzzles, and collecting salt and pepper shakers.
Survivors include her brothers, Robert Cruz and wife, Sarah of Sharon, Harry Sargent Jr. of Bethel, and Henry Sargent and wife, Pauline of Sanford, Me; two sisters, Marjorie Mazzatelli of Bombay, N.Y. and Shirley Bolonawski of Sterling Heights, Mich.
She was predeceased by her husband, and by sisters, Ramona Davis and Katherine Bollman.
