ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Memorial services for Judith “Judy” Winslow who died Sept. 8 at Bon Secours Place were held Sept. 23 at First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg. Rev. Pike A. Wisner and Rev. Dr. Phil Lilly presided.
She was born May 13, 1938, daughter of Fred and Ruth Winslow.
She was an accomplished teacher, earning her education from Stetson University and teaching for 37 years in Pinellas County Public Schools.
She was also a 39-year member of First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg, where she taught Sunday school for both children and adults. Judy also sang in the choir and did countless hours of volunteer work.
Judy was never married, she leaves two brothers, Peter and John, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; and a sister, Sandra Winslow Swift.
Judy had an extended family of friends including Jo Beth and Ed Wisner, her adoptive ‘local family.”
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, any memorial gift donations please be made in Judy’s name to First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg, 1900 Gandy Boulevard, St. Petersburg, or to Suncoast Hospice Lavender Team, 5771 Roosevelt Boulevard, Clearwater.
