SHARON — A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family for Kevin J. Smith, 55, who died at his home in Sharon on Nov. 1.
Kevin was born Dec. 10, 1957 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, a son of Neil F. and Joan (Rauss) Smith. He graduated from Hartford High School Class of 1975 and attended Vermont Technical School. After college he travelled around the country working different jobs as he went including time in Montana and Florida. He returned to the Upper Valley and began a career in the plumbing and heating supply business working for a time at Sondik in Lebanon and later at Central Supply also in Lebanon.
He moved and became the manager of Central Supply in Woodsville and moved to Bath, N.H. where he lived for over a decade until taking early retirement. After retiring Kevin moved back to Sharon to be nearer to family.
Kevin loved being in the outdoors especially fishing but most of all loved spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his ability to make people laugh.
Survivors include his parents, Neil and Joan Smith of Sharon; siblings, Tim Smith of White River Jct., Joleen Miner of Marlborough, N.H.; Eric Smith of White River Jct.; Chris Smith of Topeka, Kan.; Pat Smith of Goffstown, N.H. and Rebecca Dow of Canaan, N.H. as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kevin was predeceased by a brother Neil J. Smith.
The Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct. has been entrusted with arrangements.

Dear Joan, Neil and Family,
I am saddened to learn of the loss of your son Kevin. My deepest condolences to you and all your family during your time of sorrow…
I have you all in my prayers and I trust that Kevin is with our Lord and also with his brother and they are all remaining close to you forever in your heart … I pray that Jesus will comfort all of you now and always and may Kevin Rest in Peace in the Lord… God bless you all … Always your friend, Regina
