Staff Report

Michael Reese was elected to fill Pomfret’s open Selectboard position at the special Town Meeting Tuesday night.

Reese, who is also the town agent, won the election by a 70-27 vote against Doug Tuthill, who previously served a three-year term on the Selectboard and had also been on the planning commission.

Reese will serve on the board until Town Meeting day in March, when there is  another election. He will also said he will resign as town agent so there is no conflict of interest.
