Sen. Bernie Sanders Considers Presidency

While the United States is in what he calls a “severe crisis,” Sen. Bernie Sanders has thought about putting his name in for the 2016 presidency.

In an article in the Burlington Free Press last week, Sanders called anyone who wants to run for presidency “crazy” because of the difficulties of the job, but he said if no one else had a progressive views similar to his, he may jump in.

If he did run, it would be as an independent.

“One of the difficulties for someone like me running is … I’m not going to get any money from Wall Street or corporate America,” he told the Free Press. “We have been successful, but it’s one thing to talk about raising money for a Senate campaign in a small state, another thing running for president of the United States.”
