BETHEL — Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14 at the United Church of Bethel with Pastor Thomas Harty officiating for Adelena M. Farrington, 77, who died Dec. 8 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Bethel. Calling hours will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Day Funeral Home, Randolph.
She was born April 17, 1936 in Bethel, the daughter of Paul and Rose (DeCicco) Magrone.
Adelena attended Bethel schools. Following her education she worked for Mrs. Washburn in Bethel cleaning houses. She then worked at Ford’s Poultry in Royalton, the veneer mill in Bethel and later at G.W. Plastics in Bethel.
She was married to Earl S. Farrington July 31, 1960 in Bethel.
Adelena enjoyed vegetable gardening, music, dancing, picnics, long walks, taking care of her animals and she especially enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Earl S. Farrington of Bethel; a daughter Rosella Leonard and husband Ken of Bethel; a son Cecil Farrington of Bethel; a brother Francesco “Cheech” Magrone of White River Jct; a sister Pauline Connors of Crazets, Vir. and two grandchildren; Rachel and Kyle Pratt.
She was predeceased by her parents; and two sisters; Sophia Rice and Angela Genero.
