BRIDGEWATER — There will be a memorial gathering and potluck meal at the Springfield VFW in Springfield, on Friday, Dec. 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. for Jason Michael Walker, 41, who died unexpectedly at his home in Bridgewater on Nov. 25.
He was born on Oct. 16, 1972 in Springfield, the son of Bruce and Mary Jean (Greiner) Walker.
Jason graduated from Springfield High School in 1990 and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1991 as a firefighter/EMT. He served four years in England, two years in Illinois, and four years in Arizona and was deployed to Iraq during his service. In 2010 Jason returned to Vermont and helped care for Reginald Hoisington and later became involved with the Rutland VNA.
Jason was an avid Falcon’s fan. He loved to play his guitar as well as writing music and songs.
He is survived by his two children Ashley and Courtney and their mother Tiffany; two older brothers, Douglas and Steve; his wife Michelle, a younger sister Shannon and her husband Tony Hoisington, nieces and nephews, Gavin, Kelsey, Sabrina, Jarrett and Hunter; and many aunts and uncles.
Jason was predeceased by his parents and grandparents.
