HANOVER, N.H. — Family and friends are invited to a graveside service on Sunday, Dec. 22 at 9:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lebanon, N.H. for Margaret Ruth Jenks (Courtemanche,) 83, who died peacefully on Dec. 8 at Wheelock Terrace in Hanover.
She was born on May 7, 1930, a daughter of the late Joseph and Merilda (La Sard) Courtemanche.
Mrs. Jenks grew up in Lebanon, N.H. and married Stanley Edward Jenks on May 27, 1950.
Following Mr. Jenks service in the Air Force, the couple lived in Colorado until 1964 before moving to Plainfield where the couple lived until 2009. Margaret was devoted and unending in her love and support for Stanley. She shared a life of Hope, Faith, Love and Trust with her family and encouraged others to live their lives with the same spirit.
She is survived by her son, Richard D. Jenks, Jr. of Quechee; a grandson, Adam Jenks of Enfield, N.H.; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Jenks was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Edward Jenks and her brother, William J. Courtemanche.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Jenks name to Sacred Heart Church, 2 Hough Street, Lebanon, N.H. 03766.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ricker Funeral Home and Crematory of Lebanon and Enfield.
