2014 ULLR FESTIVAL –Artisan’s Park in Windsor
Saturday, January 25 ULLR – the Norse God of Snow
The purpose of Ullr is to Celebrate Winter and the Abundant Snow. Ullr is hosted by Great River Outfitters. This is a FREE event. In Norse mythology Ullr (pronounced Oool-er) was the Winter God. He was the son of Sif and the stepson of Thor, the “God of Thunder.” Ullr loved the cold, snow, and delighted in traveling over the country on his skis or skates. He also delighted in the chase, and pursued his game through the Northern Forests. So, this time of year we hail Ullr hoping he will bring us snow (okay A LOT of snow).
· Free to all participants who dress up in Viking or Halloween type costumes – prizes awarded!
· Enjoy roasted pig, local cheeses, Apple Cider, S’mores and one pint of Harpoon beer FREE!
· Event Location 36 Park Road Windsor, VT.
· Register to participate with Craig at 802-674-9933 or craig.carmody@GreatRiverOutfitters.com
