BRADENTON, Fla. — Private services will be held at a later date for Dana Scott Hathorn, 60, formally of White River Jct, who died Jan. 13.
Dana was born in Hanover, N.H. on June 27, 1953.
He graduated from Hartford High School in 1972. While attending Hartford schools he became a Page Boy at the Vermont State House in Montpelier in the late 1960s. After graduating from Hartford High School he moved to Meredith, N.H. and found passion in selling real estate before becoming the owner of “Realty World.”
In 1989, he married Jody Lamont and moved to Bradenton where he continued to work in every aspect of the real estate business.
Dana loved and lived life to its fullest. He loved skiing, fishing, boating, and especially loved spending his younger days with his dad and friends at Camp Podunk in Norwich.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne “Jody” Hathorn of Vero Beach, Fla. (formerly of Bradenton): his mother, Barbara Hathorn of White River Jct.; a daughter Jennifer Clark of Quechee; two sons, Corey Hathorn of Quechee and Joshua Hathorn of St. Petersburg, Fla.; siblings, Tenley Ordway of White River Jct., Norman Chris Dion of White River Jct., John Hathorn of South Windsor, Conn., George Hathorn of Hanover, N.H. and CC Stone of Cape Coral, Fla.; three grandchildren, Brittany, Ashlee and Allison.
He was predeceased by his dad, Francis “Rip” Hathorn.
