Family Injured In West Woodstock Accident

Update 3:32 p.m.: At least three people, including an infant, were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Route 4 Thursday afternoon.

Police say the driver of a car traveling west on Route 4 fell asleep before colliding with an SUV heading east at about 2:15 p.m. Thursday. A family of three, including an infant, in the SUV were taken to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center with potentially serious injuries, according to Woodstock Police Chief Robbie Blish. The condition of the driver of the car is unknown.

A third vehicle was hit with debris from the crash.

Jennifer Seibert was following the car on her way back to her home in Bridgewater with her son.

“Parts (of the cars) went up into the air and we managed to avoid it,” she said.
