Police: Man Jumps To His Death From Windsor Bridge

A man who was wanted in connection to a domestic incident in Claremont, N.H. died after jumping off a 95 foot bridge on Interstate 91 in Windsor Thursday morning.

Police say they received information that Joseph Sylvester, 37, of Claremont, may have been in the area of the “new bridge” on I-91 around 11 a.m. Upon arrival, police located Sylvester standing at the edge of I-91 southbound. Police exited their vehicles to talk to him, but before contact was made, Sylvester jumped off the bridge onto Route 44 below.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the death appears to be a suicide and there are no signs of foul play. However, the case is on-going pending additional investigation and autopsy results.
