Police: Man Assaulted, Robbed By Taxi Service In Killington

State police said a man was assaulted and robbed by a taxi service in Killington on Sunday morning.

Dennis Q. Silva Jr. of Manchester, Conn. was assaulted and had his wallet taken from him by the driver of Leon’s Taxi Service at the Pinnacle Condos on Old Mill Road in Killington, according to Trooper Jonathan McNulty of the state police. Calls to McNulty were not returned Wednesday.

Police identified the taxi driver as Alex Kerpel, 32, of Pittsfield. Kerpel was taken into custody and process for the charge of assault and robbery. He was lodged at the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility on $25,000 bail.
