Celebrating Louis Armstrong ‘Satchmo’

Rare film and exciting live performance highlight the living legacy of Louis Armstrong as a man of his times and an American hero for all time. This joyful jazz celebration features David Ostwald’s Louis Armstrong Eternity Band, Armstrong archivist Ricky Riccardi, the Woodstock High School Jazz Ensemble and SpeakChorus and is presented by Pentangle in partnership with Alina Bloomgarden Production’s “Playing it Forward” series.

A Red Beans and Rice’ly Yours New Orleans Dinner – Immediately after the concert follow the Dixieland Band down to the Unitarian Universalist Church for a down-home New Orleans style buffet dinner featuring fried chicken, jambalaya, Louis Armstrong’s favorite red beans & rice, cornbread, salad and sweet tea. Dinner sponsored by Interplay Jazz & Arts and prepared by Interplay’s own Chef Michael Bellefeuille.
