Staff Report

Four players from Woodstock have been named to the 61st annual Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl team.

Zach Cole, Sam Cole, Oliver Kaija and Tom Baumann will represent Vermont at the game, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Aug. 2 at Dartmouth College’s Memorial Field.

Committees chaired by Shrine game head coaches selected the teams. Coach Mike Williams from BFA-Fairfax will head the Vermont squad.

Last year, three Wasps were chosen for the team — the most since 2003, when Woodstock’s Scott Coriell, Ian Kennedy, Kyle Lewis and D’allah Laffoon, where selected.
