A man who struck and killed an Enfield, N.H. man after a hit and run accident in December was arrested for consuming alcohol on Friday, police say.
Michael DeBellis’ conditions of his release from the fatal accident stated that he could not consume or possess alcohol, police say.
Vermont State Police conducted a conditions check around midnight at DeBellis’ home. It was found that he had alcohol in his system registering .36 percent.
DeBellis, 27, of Killington, was taken to MVCC for lack of $10,000 cash bail.
