A Woodstock man has been cited with allegedly touching a juvenile inappropriately at the Woodstock Rec Center, according to Woodstock Police Chief Robbie Blish.
Investigation revealed Evan Sawyer, 19, was alone with the victim on March 7 around 7 p.m. The accused then allegedly initiated unwanted touching of the victim through clothing, Blish said.
Corporal Swanson responded to the Woodstock Recreation Center on 54 River St., which police say was being utilized by the Spectrum Teen Center. Sawyer was a visitor to the center.
Heather Rubenstein, an organizer of the Spectrum Teen Center said the incident happened just before the center opened. She said the victim was a girl at Woodstock Union High School and declined to give more information.
Sawyer was cited to answer to the charge of lewd and lascivious conduct in court April 15.
