Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak says a new analysis of satellite data shows that the missing Malaysia Airlines plane plunged into the southern Indian Ocean, according to the Associated Press.

It’s been two weeks since Flight 370 disappeared shortly after takeoff, in a flight scheduled to go from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing — 239 passengers and crew were aboard.

Family of those on the flight have been told that “All lives were lost,” according to CNN.

The disappearance baffled authorities and news outlets devoted hours of coverage to the missing flight. Woodstock native and former NBC News correspondent Bob Hager even lent his expertise in an interview with CNN’s Brian Stelter last week.
