The following information was submitted to residents by the Pomfret Invasive Species Committee:

While you’re looking for trash, you may also see plant pests.

Wild parsnips and chervil are coming up, and the photos above are what they look like in the early spring…now.
If you notice these invasive plants, please let us know where they are growing. (But don’t touch without protective gear; their sap can produce a rash.) If you would like more information about invasive plants in Pomfret and/or the committee’s work, please contact us at:
