The Yoh Players celebrated William Shakespeare’s 450th Birthday by performing a two-act play called “Happy Birthday Sweet William.” According to the playbill: “We believe that if Elizabethan men could play the roles of men and women, then so can American women play the roles of women and men.

    Wonderful images, each one of these. Thank you.
    The energy and spirit of this production and every player upon the stage captured the heart of Sweet William as portrayed in the Yoh Theatre over these last two decades. 450 years vanished in many of the scenes, as these young women, these Yoh players, made the Bard’s words and characters come so alive. I think Mr. Yoh and many dear ones who have gone before were proud this Merry Weekend in May. I felt them there with us.
