Due to the weather forecast, Thursday’s Brown Bag Concert Series performance of the band Atlantic Crossing has been moved inside to the Town Hall Theatre at noon.
Whether rocking the dance floor at a New England contra dance hall, painting a musical interpretation of local history, or striking a perfectly joyous note at a wedding celebration, Atlantic Crossing has been a favorite band in Vermont for more than a decade. Their traditional New England music is deeply rooted in the Celtic British Isles as well as French and Maritime Canada. Their arrangements mix a profound love of these traditions with a high level of creativity and emotional expression, all washed down with a healthy dose of fun. Since 2000 they have been listed on Vermont Arts Council’s Juried Register of the state’s best artists, and in 2007 their exploration of the history of the Champlain Valley through music earned them the designation of American Masterpiece Artists.
