Community Forum ‘Drugs And The Brain’ NWPL Thursday

Drugs and the Brain – What’s Going On?
On Thursday, July 10th from 6-7 p.m. at the Norman Williams Library, 10 The Green in Woodstock, there will be a Free and open to the public, community forum sponsored by the Ottauquechee Health Foundation and the Norman Williams Public Library explaining how addiction is a brain disease that causes impaired control over the use of drugs, and how addiction is best treated by changing brain function.

A light supper will be served – first come, first serve.

Speaker Sara DeGennaro, MA, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor, Certified Clinical Supervisor in Vermont and New Hampshire, and Clinical Supervisor for Valley Court Diversion Programs.

Sara will explain how addiction is a brain disease that causes impaired control over the use of drugs, and how addiction is best treated by changing brain function.
