Police: Man Falls Asleep, Crashes Into Guard Rail In Killington

Traffic was reduced to one lane in Killington Saturday morning after a driver fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a guardrail, according to Vermont State Police.

Joshua Lee, 31, of Petersburgh, Kentucky crashed into the guard rail head on and uprooted five guard rail posts on Route 100, just past the Gray Bonnet Inn around 9 a.m. on Saturday, police said.

Lee had wrist pain and was taken to Rutland Regional Medical Center. He was processed for DUI and released with a court date, police said.

His 2009 Kia Sedona had significant front end damage, police said.
