The Killington Chamber of Commerce has announced the return of the Killington Wine Festival to be held from July 18 – 20. Now in its thirteenth year, the Festival continues its tradition of bringing hundreds of fine wines from around the world to the Green Mountains for festival goers to sample. Each year the Wine Festival attracts hundreds of wine and food lovers to Killington for three days of wine tasting events.

The event kicks off Friday evening with the Estate Wine Tasting poolside at the Killington Grand Hotel. Select wineries will sample their collections of estate and reserve wines. Representatives will be on hand to discuss each wine; educating attendees about the nuances of the fine wines being sampled. Tickets to the Estate Tasting are limited, with only 100 tickets available. Running concurrently with the Estate Tasting, the Killington Wine Trail will showcase Killington Restaurants offering a special wine or food and wine pairing.

The signature event of the Festival, the Grand Tasting, will be held on Saturday afternoon at the foot of Killington Mountain at Killington Resort’s Roaring Brook Umbrella Bars. Guests will have the opportunity to move through the different venues, enjoying a seemingly endless variety of wines produced domestically and from places as far away as France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Germany, New Zealand, Japan, Chile, Argentina, and South Africa. This year, the Grand Tasting will feature a special area dedicated to Vermont wines and spirits as well as local artisanal foods including cheeses, chocolates and more. Admission to the event includes tastings, wine-friendly fare, and signature tote with wine glass.

On Saturday night, local chefs at some of the area’s best restaurants will create dinner pairings with wines featured at the Grand Tasting. The three-day event concludes with the Wine and Nine Golf Scramble at Green Mountain National Golf Course. Always a sell-out event, the Wine and Nine offers golfers of all abilities a chance to play a lighthearted round of golf on Vermont’s No. 1 Public Golf Course.

For those looking to experience both signature tastings, a Patron Ticket is available which includes the Estate Wine Tasting and VIP one-hour early admission to the Grand Tasting for $135. More information, tickets and accommodation packages for all budgets are available online through or by calling the Killington Chamber of Commerce at (800) 337-1928.
