Billings Farm & Museum, is featuring Heritage Chicken Days on Saturday & Sunday, August 16 & 17, from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Traditional livestock breeds are an essential part of our agricultural heritage and an important resource for the future. We’ll feature a variety of heritage chicken breeds to learn about their unique traits; all are protected breeds of The American Livestock Breeds Conservancy, a nonprofit membership organization working to conserve over 180 historic breeds of livestock and poultry and maintain genetic diversity.
Learn all about chicken and eggs. Chicken-themed activities and programs for children include make-it-and-take crafts and games.
