Want to learn more about the leather-bound book on your shelf or the silver teapot in your cupboard? Your opportunity has arrived! On Sunday, August 3, from 2-5 pm, the Woodstock Historical Society will be hosting an antiques appraisal extravaganza and reception.
This special fundraiser will be held under a tent on the Society’s back lawn. The admission fee of $25.00 will include a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception, admission to the Dana House Museum, and two complimentary verbal appraisals. For those wishing to have additional appraisals done, there will be a charge of $10.00 per item.
The appraisers featured in this year’s event are Bill Bradley, Steven Thomas, Wayne Ridley, Michael Hingston, Andrew Katz, Shannon Freeman, and Sonny Saul. While members of this group specialize in art, silver, jewelry, furniture, books, and carpets, they will also be able to provide appraisals on general items outside these categories.
Since spaces for the reception and appraisals are limited, advance ticket purchase is recommended. For more information or to purchase tickets, please call the Woodstock Historical Society at (802) 457-1822.
