Staff report

Jeff Thomas is resigning as the Woodstock Union High School athletic director to take a position as the school’s dean of students.

Thomas sent an email to parents and community members Saturday, announcing the change. The new athletic director will be Justin Wardwell, a former AD at Hartford Memorial Middle School.

Thomas said he will still be involved with athletics this year, to help with the transition.

“It has been great working with all of you these past years and I am excited to continue to see some games this coming season,” said Thomas in the email.
