Kathie S. Lawrence passed away on March 7 at Dartmouth Hitchcock in Lebanon after a lengthy illness.
She was born Dec. 9, 1950 in Mineola, New York, daughter of Rutherford Burchard Lawrence and Loretta M. (Brower) Lawrence.
Kathie attended school in Port Washington, New York, graduating from Port Washington High School in 1969.
After graduating Kathie was employed at Flushing Federal Bank and after moving to Vermont she was employed at Command Antenna, North Country Development, Marble Bank and Spooner’s Restaurant to name a few.
Kathie use to love to cook and entertain and her Christmas Eve goose dinners were most memorable. She use to enjoy bicycling, hiking up Mt. Tom, the girl’s annual trip to Hampton Beach, traveling, classic movies, her summer party for friends, watching NASCAR, attending yard sales and gardening.
She is survived by a stepbrother, Robert Smith Jr. of Kinnelon, New Jersey; stepmother, Joan Lawrence of Brewster, New York; and a stepsister, Dawn of New York; and her two precious cats “Lola” and “Peanut” and several friends.
Kathie was predeceased by her parents; her longtime companion, Ronald A. Doan, III; several friends and some cherished animals.
