The Thompson Senior Center hosted activities involving the older generation and kids around the community. The Gen2Gen Summer Challenge is part of’s Generation to Generation campaign, a national effort to inspire adults over 50 to make a positive difference in the lives of children and youth.
“It turned out to be a wonderfully successful week! Throughout the week we had 41 students in total participate (20-26 students each day), ages 6-12. More than 40 adults participated throughout the week as well. Six grandparents and one great-grandmother brought their grandchildren and attended with them. It was a fun week and exceeded our expectations in every way.” Deanna Jones, Executive Director, Thompson Senior Center
