Sophie’s Seniors for Seniors is a paring of Seniors to “Senior” pets, typically over the age of five. Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society visited the Thompson Center with a few of these select animals.

Photo Gallery: Lucy Mac, 5K-9 Race and Cookout

A 5K-”9″race along with a one-mile run/walk was held on the grounds of Lucy Makenzie Humane Society. A cookout for the race participants as well as an open house for the Humane Society were also held.

I’m a 7 year old neutered male Beagle cross. I get along with pretty much everybody – other dogs, cats, and children. I would make a great companion for a family that has a fenced in space outside. Please keep in mind I am a Beagle so if I catch a whiff of something, my head’s to the ground and I’m off! The staff has fit me with an Easy Walker harness which makes my walks much more enjoyable for everybody. I’m really a terrific, easy-going little fellow.
