Maxwell “Bun” Maxham will be 98 years old on Aug. 21. He didn’t walk a mile on the dirt road through his farm on Monday because, he said, “I didn’t feel like it.” When he does feel like it, which is most days, he uses a walker with yellow tennis balls stuck on its back legs.
A year ago doctors told him he would never walk again, other than inside his house. He made up his mind to prove them wrong.
